MORENCI AREA HIGH SCHOOL: 53
The Varsity Boys Basketball team won Tuesday night against the Morenci Bulldogs 62-53. The Redwolves really applied defensive pressure well in the first quarter as they were able to hold the Bulldgos to only 5 points. However, the game seemingly got much tighter from there on out as both teams would trade baskets the rest of the way. Grant Stockford had himself a really great night offensively as he was able to find the basket 11 different times for 27 points. This was followed by Landon Busz who contributed 11 and Keegan Huston who tacked on 9 of his own on 3 of 4 shooting. Even though the game would get closer it never got within 7 points. Making way for the Redwolves to go 5-3 on the season and 3-0 at home. There next game is this Thursday at home versus Ida.
