The varsity football team traveled to Dundee Friday, Sept. 30th to take on the host Vikings in a battle of 5-0 teams.  Clinton defeated Dundee who is currently ranked in the top ten of division 5, 34-7.  This was a game that had a lot of hype and media coverage with the TV show State Champs covering the game from Friday among other media outlets.  Clinton racked up 400 yards of offense on the night with 360 yards on the ground and another 40 through the air.  Dundee was held to 30 yards rushing and 121 passing for the night.  Jake Felts was the leading rusher with 106 yards on 9 carries and a touchdown. Bradyn Lehman had 94 yards rushing on 16 carries with a rushing touchdown and two point conversion.  Lehman also caught two touchdown passes on the night to go along with his interception return for a touchdown for a total of four touchdowns on the night.  Nik Shadley had 92 yards rushing on 13 carries, Cole Breitenwischer had 44 yards on 9 carries, Zak Shadley had 31 yards on 7 carries, and Joey Preston had 7 yards rushing.  Andy Fair was 2 for 2 passing for 40 yards and two touchdowns as he and Coy Perry continue to do a great job at quarterback for the Redwolves.  The offense continued to block well as ten different players recorded pancake blocks on the night.  Jacob Gilson and Mason Brodie both had five pancake blocks a piece.  Brandon Felts and Max Stitt each had three, Nate Smith, Bradyn Lehman, and Wyatt Hicks each had two.  Nate Page recorded a pancake block as well.  

 

The defense played well and created four turnovers on the night.  Bradyn Lehman had two interceptions on the night one that he returned for a touchdown.  Cole Breitenwischer added an interception to go along with another pass break up, and Coy Perry recovered a fumble.  Both Jake Felts and Nike Shadley caused fumbles on the night.  Nate Smith, Max Stitt, and Brandon Felts all recorded sacks.  Tackles for loss of yardage were by Max Stitt with three, Brandon Felts with two, and Nik Shadley, Jake Felts, and Lehman all had one.  Lehman was also 2 for 2 with PAT kicks.  Offensive and Defensive Player of the Game was Bradyn Lehman.  Special Teams Player of the Game was Wyatt Federer.  Red Army Player of the Game was Wyatt Hicks.  This week is our last regular season home game against Onsted Friday, Oct. 7th at 7pm.  This will be senior night and parents will need to meet at 6:20 at the bottom of the stairs before the game as recognition starts at 6:30.  Thank you for your continued support.
