The Clinton JV volleyball team brought home the First place trophy by defeating the Hillsdale Hornet in 2 sets in the Jonesville Tournament. The Redwolves went 6-0 in pool play by defeating Hillsdale Academy, Litchfield and Reading. Clinton was then seeded #1 in the Gold Bracket and was matched up with Jonesville for the Semi Final game. The Redwolves wasted zero time on Jonesville and defeated them 25-14 and 25-7. Hillsdale had a tough match against Hillsdale Academy in the other Semi-finals but they pulled out a victory to advance to the final round against the Redwolves.
Clinton relied on their attack game and their great serving accuracy to capture the victory over the Hillsdale Hornets 25-22 and 25-22.
Tournament Highlights
Aubrey Lauer led the Redwolves 29 service points with 5 aces 9 kills 44 digs
Jackie Whiting followed with 26 service points 6 aces 9 kills 1 block 15 digs led the team with 25 assists.
Megan Hammarberg had 25 points with a team high of 11 aces, 3 kills 10 assists and 7 digs
Ruby Faulkner had 24 service points, 3 aces led the team with 23 kills and 19 digs.
Eden Frederick had 15 service points with 3 aces 22 kills 4 digs.
Finnley Faulkner led the team with 6 blocks and tallied 15 kills.
Brailey Gibson had 21 points 10 aces, 9 kills 18 digs.
Korynn Allen had 15 points 5 aces 14 assists and 6 digs.
Annabelle Kerr had 9 digs.
Morgan Hill had 1 service point with 1 kill and 1 block
Genevieve Urban added 2 kills and 1 dig.
The Clinton JV’s record now stands at 16-9-2
