A new school record in the 3200m was the top highlight of many outstanding performances at the East Jackson Dome Classic on May 12. Samantha Coots broke a 36-year old record in the women's 3200m by running a time of 12:18.51 beating Agnes Imber's 1987 record. Samantha finished 4th in a highly competitive race.

Mason Brodie won both the men's shot put and the discus. He had a new personal best of 151'-8" beating his old best by more than 5'.

Morgan Hill won the women's high jump with a new personal best of 5'-0", joining her teammate, Summer Chandler, who reached 5' at Wednesday's meet. Summer earned 3rd place at East Jackson.

Brynn Frederick is now #2 all time in the women's 200m at Clinton. She ran a 27.00 time in finishing 2nd.

She also joined the women's 4x100 team in finishing 3rd with a time of 52.43 along with her teammates of Griffin Faulkner, Katelyn Baker, and Ashlynn Phillips.

Adding to the medal count were Eli Turner with 5th in the men's high jump and Zak Shadley with 6th in the men's long jump.

Other personal bests set in the meet for the men were Brenden Benschoter in the 100m and 200m, Luis Piatt in the 100m, Justin Celmer in the 800m, Reed Patrick in the 110m hurdles, and Trevor Lakatos in the discus.

For the women, personal bests were set by Annika Schmittlein and McKenna Schmittlein in the 100m, Zoey Varga in the 100m hurdles, Izzy Szubielak in the shotput and Kaylie Livingston in the discus by over 8'.

Both teams finished 10th in the 18 teams field.
