The varsity wrestling team traveled to Blissfield to compete in an LCAA Quad.  Clinton opened with Ida and came away with a 63-12 win in the LCAA contest.  The match started at 150 pounds and freshman Clifford Jones got the team going with a 10-3 win.  The next Clinton win came from Bryce Randolph at 165 pounds with a pin in the second period.  Freshman Landon Lakatos sparked the team and picked up a pin of his own at 190 pounds in the first period.  Hamza Rafferty collected a pin at Heavyweight as well.  Dylan Badge grabbed a pin at 132 pounds after jumping out to a 12-1 lead.  Maurice Ames finished the matches with pin at 144 pounds in the first period.  Others with wins in the Ida dual were, Wyatt Hicks, Nate Arntz, Braylon Long, Connor Busz, Connor Younts, and Zak Shadley.  JV matches held were from Luther Fultz, Tanner Bolton,a nd Aiden Johnson who all competed well.  

In the second dual of the night Clinton lost to Division 3 returning state champs and currently #1 Dundee.  Wyatt Hicks picked up a pin at 215 pounds for the Redwolves after entering the third period up 2-0.  Hamza Rafferty also picked up a pin at heavyweight after being up 10-1 in the first period.  Connor Busz won a nail bitter at 120 pounds 7-4 as well.  Clinton will wrestle at Onsted on Wednesday, Jan. 18th at 5:30pm against Onsted and Blissfield.
