The varsity wrestling team traveled to Onsted on Wednesday, Jan. 18th for an LCAA Quad.  Clinton came away with a sweep upping their overall record to 14-4.  The second ranked Redwolves disposed of Onsted in the first match 69-6.   Then put Blissfield away 65-12.  Against Onsted pins were by Connor Busz at 126, Connor Younts at 132, Clifford Jones at 150, Ethan Younts at 157, Bryce Randolph at 165, and Wyatt Hicks at 215.  Others with wins during the Onsted dual were Hamza Rafferty, Maurice Ames, Zak Shadley, Braylon Long, Nate Arntz, and Brenden Benschoter with a 2-1 win.  In the Blissfield dual picking up pins were Nate Arntz at 106, Connor Busz at 126, Connor Younts at 132, Maurice Ames at 144, Clifford Jones at 150, Ethan Younts at 157, Wyatt Hicks at 215, and Hamza Rafferty at Heavyweight.  Others picking up wins were Braylon Long at 113, Bryce Randolph at 165, and Zak Shadley with a 21-4 technical fall at 138.   Michelle Arntz had two girls matches and came away with two pins on the night at 110 pounds.  Leanne Mercier picked up an overtime win in her girls match as well.  Austin Putnam picked up a pin at the JV level to finish the night for the Redwolves.    The final home match of the regular season will be on Wednesday, Jan. 25th starting at 5:30. This will be our senior night as we will honor our seniors and their families prior to the dual. It will also be youth wrestling club night and Middle School Wrestling night at intermission.  We look forward to a large crowd as we honor many from our program.
