Boys Junior Varsity BaseballGame 1: Clinton Junior Varsity Redwolves fell to Tecumseh 8-3 on Tuesday despite an early lead.Clinton struck first in the opening inning when Pruss drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home the game’s first run. However, Tecumseh responded and pulled away as the game progressed.Pruss took the loss for Clinton, pitching two innings and allowing five runs (three earned) on three hits while striking out one and walking three. Della-Badia provided a strong effort out of the bullpen, tossing three scoreless innings, giving up just two hits while striking out five and walking one.At the plate, Della-Badia led the Redwolves with two hits in four at-bats from the leadoff spot. Girls Varsity SoccerClinton beat Napoleon 4-1. Napoleon scored first in the first 3 minutes of the game on a free kick. Aby Ureche dropped the ball to Kaylee Reiser who scored Clinton's first goal. In the second half Ally Schaffner scored on a corner kick. One minute later Makayla Whitehead threw the ball to Zoey Riddle who scored. With 8 minutes left in the game Makayla Whitehead threw the ball in to Zoey Riddle who took a shot from far out making the game 4-1. Jackie Whiting had 8 saves. Redwolves Open Season with Big Improvement at Larry Murdock Memorial
Boys Varsity GolfIda, MI — The Clinton Redwolves Boys Golf team opened the season with a strong and much-improved performance at the Larry Murdock Memorial Invitational at Green Meadows Golf Course, finishing 5th out of 18 teams with 144 points in the Stableford-format event. The event used Stableford scoring, where a tiered system of points were awarded for eagles, birdies, pars, and bogeys.The Redwolves improved by 38 points from last season’s total of 106 points, and placed 2nd among LCAA schools, trailing only to host Ida (154), while finishing behind Champion Tecumseh (156) (Division 2), Flat Rock (153), and Carlson (151) (Division 1) in the overall standings.Junior Brandon Ruhl led Clinton with a career-best round of 75, earning 44 points and a runner-up finish overall. Ruhl recorded multiple birdies and was the top medalist in the Nicklaus flight, narrowly missing the overall title after Dundee’s Levi Evans converted a late eagle to win with 47 points

Boys Varsity GolfAnn Arbor, MI (Washtenaw Golf Club) — The Clinton Redwolves Boys Golf team turned in one of their strongest performances in program history at the Greenhills Invitational on April 11, finishing 3rd overall with a team score of 334, just one stroke off the lead.In a highly competitive field that included top-ranked programs, Ann Arbor Greenhills (#11 in Div 3) and Grosse Ile (#5 in Div 3) tied for first at 333, narrowly edging Clinton. The Redwolves also finished ahead of Plymouth Christian Academy (#2 Division 4) (335) and Ann Arbor Huron (Division 1) (348), marking a significant step forward for the program.Clinton’s 334 total marked a 26-shot improvement from last year’s 360 at the same event.Junior Brandon Ruhl led the Redwolves with an impressive 79, earning a 3rd-place overall finish and his second consecutive medalist performance. He allowed just three hits and two runs over five innings while issuing no walks.Della-Badia paced the offense with a strong day at the plate, going 3-for-4. CoEd Varsity TrackThe Clinton High School Track and Field team hosted the Clinton Redwolves Invitational on Saturday April 6. Eight teams participated in the meet. For the boys, the Redwolves finished second to Blissfield and the girls finished third behind Blissfield and Hudson.For the boys, medalists included Wyatt Dehring who finished first in the 100m with a time of 11.59, the 200m with a PB of 23.00 and the long jump with a PB of 20'9", Broden Manchester who won the pole vault with a vault of 10'6", Peter Baker who finished 2nd in the 110m hurdles, in the 300m hurdles with a PR of 44.90 and third in the high jump, Cole Hillegonds who finished 2nd in the 400m and third in the high jump with a PB of 5'10", Haiden Bennett who finished 2nd in the 3200m with an outdoor PB of 10:44.91, Eli Turner who finished 2nd in the high jump, and Zach Taylor who finished 2nd in the pole vault. He singled in the first inning, tripled in the fourth, and added another single later in the inning, showcasing his consistency throughout the game.Clinton wasted no time taking control, exploding for eight runs in the first inning. Boys Varsity GolfCLINTON, MI — After a 2025 season filled with personal bests, medalist honors, and near-championship finishes, the Clinton Redwolves boys golf team enters the 2026 campaign with rising expectations and a strong returning core.Last spring, Clinton proved it could compete with the region’s best, earning multiple top-five invitational finishes, a league jamboree victory, and remaining in the conference title race until the final championship round — where the Redwolves missed a share of the league crown by just two strokes. The narrow finish has become a motivating force heading into the new season.Much of the optimism centers on the return of several key contributors. Now-junior Brandon Ruhl emerged as one of the most consistent players in the league a year ago. CoEd Varsity WrestlingOn Friday and Saturday, March 6th and 7th the Redwolves qualified 9 wrestlers to the MHSAA Individual State Championships at Ford Field. At the conclusion Clinton finished with six all state wrestlers and two state finalist, with one state champion. Hudson Miller qualified at 106 pounds and started his tournament off hot with a pin in the first period. Hudson lost his next match 2-4 in a heart breaker of a match. In his match to place Hudson fell 0-4 to end his season. Hudson was disappointed but knows what he needs to do to achieve his goals next season. At 190 pounds Owen Wright lost a close first match 0-2, but bounced back with a second period pin in his second match. In his match to place Owen lost a tough match 1-11 to end his season. CoEd Varsity WrestlingThe varsity wrestling team competed in the state semi finals and finals on Saturday, March 28th at Kalamazoo K Wings Stadium. The team competed against higher ranked St. Louis on Saturday morning at 9:30am in the state semi finals. The match started at 190 pounds where senior Bryce Randolph started the Redwolves off with a first period pin in 1:51. Owen Wright followed that up with a pin in the second period at 215 pounds after collecting two takedowns and a set of four nearfall points. Gradyn Whelan stepped up again at hwt. and picked up a pin in just 59 seconds. Clinton was in a commanding 18-0 lead. The match shifted back to the lightweights as Hudson Miller competed at 106 pounds and battled to a 9-0 major decision for Clinton. CoEd Varsity WrestlingOn Friday, Feb. 27th the Redwolves Wrestling Team took on Roscommon in the MHSAA Team State Quarterfinals at Kalamazoo K Wings Stadium. The match started at 144 pounds were senior Brenden Benschoter stepped on the mat first for the Redwolves. After picking up the first takedown, Benschoter got a set of 4 nearfall points. His opponent fought off their back, but Benschoter went right back to work for more nearfall points and a pin in 1:14 to put the team up 6-0 to start the dual. Tanner Bolton checked in at 150 pounds and was able to secure a takedown and two nearfall points in the first period. Bolton was up 5-0 heading into the second period. CoEd Varsity WrestlingThe Clinton Wrestling Team won a Regional Championship on Wednesday, Feb. 18th at Capac High School. The third ranked Redwolves dominated in regional competition as they defeated Clarkston Everest Collegiate and Manchester to win the championship. This is the 10th Regional Championship in a row and 11th in 13 years for the Redwolves. In the Regional Semi Finals Clinton down Clarkston Everest Collegiate 64-16. The match started at 132 pounds and Max Delphy started the night out, but lost his match 7-19. Grady Aldridge picked up a win at 138 pounds and Justice Arnett earned a pin at 144 pounds. Austin Putnam and Tanner Bolton each won at 150 and 157 pounds. Shane Cook picked up a pin at 165 pounds for the Redwolves. CoEd Varsity WrestlingThe Wrestling Team traveled to Whitmore Lake for the MHSAA Individual Regionals on Saturday, Feb. 21st. Clinton had 13 regional qualifiers and finished the day with 9 state qualifiers. At 106 pounds Hudson Miller placed second after two pins on the day and lost a close 0-1 match in the finals. Hudson Qualified for the MHSAA Individual State Championships at Ford Field March 6th & 7th. At 113 pounds Junior Zach Taylor punched his ticket to Ford Field for the second straight year by taking 4th at Regionals. At 132 pounds sophomore Brock Worden lost in the qualifying round to just miss out on a return trip to Ford Field. At 138 Sophomore Wyatt Cooley lost in the qualifying round as well to just miss his opportunity to wrestle at state. Wrestlers Qualify for Individual Regionals
CoEd Varsity WrestlingThe wrestling team competed in the MHSAA Individual District Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 14th hosted by Clinton. The Redwolves qualified 13 out of 14 possible wrestlers for individual regionals at Whitmore Lake on Saturday, Feb. 21st starting at 10:30am. To qualify you have to place in the top four of your individual weight class. Clinton did so in dominant fashion. Clinton had four District Champions, Four Runner Ups, and five third place finishers. Brock Worden placed 2nd at 132 pounds after picking up two pins on his way to the finals. Wyatt Cooley placed 3rd at 138 pounds after going 3-1 on the day. Clinton opened with SMCC in the district semi final and came away with a dominant 54-23 win. Winning matches were Brock Worden at 132 with a score of 15-8, Wyatt Cooley won by major decision 10-0 at 138 pounds. Brenden Benschoter picked up the pin at 144 pounds. CoEd Varsity WrestlingThe wrestling program hosted the two day LCAA Dual Championships on Friday, Feb. 6th and Saturday Feb. 7th. Friday night Clinton opened the tournament with a 57-24 win over Ida. Winning matches were Hudson Miller, Zach Taylor, Wyatt Cooley, Brenden Benschoter, Tanner Bolton, Braxton Randolph, Cliff Jones, Landon Lakatos, Bryce Randolph, and Gradyn Whelan. In the second match of the night Clinton competed against the division 3 state champions and lost. Zach Taylor won a great match against the defending state champion and Gradyn Whelan lost a close match at the buzzer at 215. Saturday the Redwolves started out against Hillsdale and came away with a 61-18 win. Winners were Hudson Miller, Zach Taylor, Brock Worden, Wyatt Cooley, Brenden Benschoter, Jaxon Phillip, Braxton Randolph, Bryce Randolph, Landon Lakatos, Owen Wright, and Gradyn Whelan. CoEd Varsity BowlingFeb. 5, 2026 – Clinton vs. OnstedIn a tough matchup, the Boys Varsity team fell to Onsted 7–23 after dropping both Baker games and securing only three individual points. Despite the loss, Clinton showed confidence under pressure. Nolan Gala led the way with games of 212 and 196, while Gage Ison (193), Mitchel Reiser (180), and Jack Patterson (168) also delivered strong performances. While we may have lost this match, I’m proud of each bowler for maintaining team spirit, sportsmanship and composure.The Girls Varsity team defeated Onsted with a strong 25.5–4.5. Sweeping the Baker games and total pinfall, Clinton took five individual games. Cora Harsh had new personal highs with a 222 and 172 games, which is also her new high series. Sierra Welch also helped the team with games of 190 and 154.Clinton Junior Varsity wrapped up the night with a thrilling 16–14 win in a very close match. Splitting the Baker games and total pinfall, the JV team clinched the victory with four individual wins.
