Redwolves Sweep Onsted in Dominant Home LCAA Victory

The Clinton Redwolves volleyball team protected home court Tuesday night with a convincing 3-0 victory over Onsted, winning 25-8, 25-13, 25-15. Clinton came out with strong energy from the opening serve and never let up. The Redwolves controlled the match offensively, finishing with 40 kills on 79 attempts while hitting an impressive .392 as a team. Belle Bannon led the Redwolves attack with 9 kills, while Rylee Pepper, Addison Loftis, and Abby Sheneman each added 7 kills on the night. Avery Loftis added 5 kills while also helping run the offense. The setting was equally impressive, with Clinton recording 38 assists on the night. Avery Loftis led the way with 20 assists and Addison Loftis had 15 assists while helping the Redwolves consistently find their attackers and keep Onsted’s defense off balance. Clinton also made an impact at the net, recording 8 total blocks, including 2 solo blocks from Abby Shenenman and 6 block assists from the front row of Abby Sheneman, Bella Bannon, and Makenna Gore. Defensively, the Redwolves recorded 53 digs, with Addison Loftis leading the team with 10 digs. Emily Farmer had 8 digs, Lila Kennedy and Avery Loftis with 7, Calli Kruger with 5, and Zoey Riddle with 4 digs on the night. Clinton also served 89%, recording 7 aces along the way. Clinton continues to control the pass off of serve with a team 2.3 passing rating and with Calli Kruger and Emily Farming having a night passing 3.0 in serve receive. The Redwolves’ balanced attack and consistent play allowed them to build leads in each set and finish the night with a clean sweep. The Redwolves will look to carry the momentum from their home victory into their next matches that are home on Saturday, September 19th starting at 8:30 am. They host the 1st ever Region 13 Showcase with 12 teams attending on Saturday at Clinton High School.
