By Payne Staton | Oct 13, 2026 9:38 AM

On Monday, the Clinton JV Redwolves football team travelled to Ida to take on the Bluestreaks. It was a hard fought game with both teams playing great defense, but the Redwolves would prevail and come out on top. Early in the second quarter, Leeland Korpusik recovered a fumble and then a play later Aiden Hall scored on a short run, with Hall also adding the two point conversion that would make the score 8 to 0. On the following Ida drive, Hall would get an interception stopping a drive for the Bluestreaks. After a great fourth down play from Tucker Hessling, the Redwolves would score on their next drive on a three yard run from Lauer, and a 2 point conversion on a pass from Gannon Pearce to Bennett Spicer, Clinton would take a 16 to 0 lead. On the following kickoff, Hall and Ryder Sosko would force a fumble, which was recovered by Pearce giving Clinton the ball back with great field position. This position would pay off and a couple plays later Lauer would find the endzone again making the score 22 to 0. Ida would have a great kickoff return setting themselves up with a short field and touchdown making the score 22 to 8. After recovering an onside attempt, Clinton would run the clock out and walk away with a victory 22 to 8. It was a hard fought battle, and great play from Zain Rafferty and Noah Jenkins would help the Redwolves to get the win. Clinton’s JV football team will be back in action next Monday, October 19th, at 6 pm at Adrian Madison.
