The Clinton girls team is 4-1 in the LCAA as they enter the final week of regular season competition. They defeated Blissfield last Wednesday but fell to the league-leading Onsted Wildcats. The team had a few standout performances on Friday at the Onsted Booster Invitational. As a team, the Redwolves finished 6th out of 9 teams. Zoey Sierer led the way with a new PR in the long jump (14-9) to take third place. Griffin Faulkner took 4th in the pole vault before leading off the runner-up 4x100 relay team along with Aubrey Lauer, Brynn Frederick, and Mykell Brodie. Frederick followed up her relay performance with a third place finish in the 200 meter dash. In the longer races, the 4x800 team dropped 18 seconds from their previous season best time, running 11:03 to take third place. Allison Bowles, who also ran a personal record in the 1600 with a time of 6:10, led off the relay and Sarah King, Zoey Sierer, and Samantha Coots ran the final three legs. The Clinton boys beat both Blissfield and Onsted and are now 4-1 in the LCAA. Medal winners for Clinton were Grant Stockford was 1nd in the 100m at 11.97, Bryce Wyman was 6th in the 200m at 24.87, Matthew Urbanczyk was 4th in the 800m at 2:13, Gabe Nelson was 4th in the 3200m at 10:30, Mason Brodie set a PR at 44'10" and took 2nd in the shotput, Matt Johnson took 4th at 39'2", Mason Brodie also set a PR in the discus at 119'4" and took 5th, Grant Stockford won the high jump with a jump of 5'8", and Bryson VanSickle took 2nd at 5'6", Zak Shadler was 4th in long jump at 18'2", and the 4x200m relay consisting of Zak Shadley, Max Stitt, Carter Keith and Grant Stockford took 5th.
