On Tuesday, March 12th three Clinton Football Players and Coach Randolph received awards at the National Football Federation Toledo Chapter Banquet. Each player was nominated that met the high academic and athletic achievement standards. This is the first time in school history that any player from Clinton has been chosen for this award. The Banquet was held at the Glass City Center in Toledo, OH. This event is a very prestigious event and a black tie event. The keynote speaker was the Notre Dame Head Coach Football Marcus Freeman. Other guest speakers included the University of Toledo Head Football Coach Jason Candle and Bowling Green State Head Football Coach Scott Loeffler. The three players earning awards were Nik Shadley, Cole Breitenwischer, and Teddy Pizio. All three student athletes were accompanied by their Parents. Nik Shadley was accompanied by Brett and Kristi Shadley. Teddy Pizio was accompanied by Ted and Dawn Pizio. Cole Breitenwischer was accompanied by Dave Breitenwischer and Katie Ross. Several football staff members attended in support as well, Payne Staton, Josh Brown, Joey Gossett, Ken Roberts, Zak McNitt, and Coach Randolph. This is the second year in a row that Coach Randolph was selected as Coach of the Year by the committee. The students, families, coaches, and community should be proud of these young men for such a great honor. Congratulations to the players.
