Clinton lost a highly contested game tonight vs Madison at home with a packed crowd. The girls came out aggressive and intent on taking the game them. Clinton outscored Madison in the 1st quarter 15-8, then again in the 2nd quarter 17-8 to take a halftime lead of 32-16. Clinton has been sparked by a couple players off the bench in Emily Evers who had a season high 9 points against A2 Central Academy last week and Brynn Frederick who has been a stat sheet stuffer as a freshman playing all 5 positions throughout the season. Tonight both our captains lead the way on the boards with Rory Kelly having a season high 12 rebounds and Sam Renaldi having 9 points & 10 rebounds respectively. Lena Korte was a physical presence both offensively and defensively having 9 pts, 7 rebounds & 3 blocks. Bri Underwood had the most exciting shot of the evening draining a 3 pointer at the buzzer to end the first half. Bri finished with 8 pts and a season high 7 assists dishing out some amazing dimes throughout the game. Libbi Fair lead all scorers with 10 pts & added 7 rebounds to the stat sheet.
