The Clinton Redwolves opened up the 2023 golf season Saturday April 15th by participating in the Madison Ryder Cup held at Woodlawn GC, Adrian. In the Ryder cup format, holes 1-6 Best Ball, 7-12 Alternate Shot, 13-18 Scramble. The teams was paired up with another player for this event, as the Redwolves have three "new" golfers on Varsity this year, Max Hampel Jr, Robert McDonald Fr and Connor Younts Jr. along with returning starters Jacob Rothman Jr, Nate Arntz Jr and Ethan Younts Sr. "The boys did a nice job for being their first tournament of the year. I'm proud of the focus and competitiveness they showed. We finished in 3rd out of 10 teams and only 5 shots out of 2nd place. We are traveling to Bedford Valley GC in Battle Creek (the host of the MHSAA Div IV State Finals this year) to play in the Hillsdale Academy Invite. All the rest of our tournaments will all be stroke play, meaning the boys will be scoring for themselves now. Good luck fellas!" commented Coach Ramos
