Clinton Varsity played in their last tournament of the season today at Lenawee Christian Schools.  Clinton went 3-3 in pool play.  Clinton lost two tough and close games to LCS 25-27 and 19-25, beat Climax Scotts 25-22 and 25-9, and then split with Camden Frontier won 25-23 and lost 22-25.  Then went on to beat Summerfield in quarterfinals 25-17 and 25-23 before losing to eventual tournament champions Vandercook Lake 12-25 and 18-25.

Stats for the Redskins were: Brianna Burton had 19 kills and 4 digs, Megyn Artnz had 18 kills and 10 blocks, and 15 good serve receive passes.  Saydie Starnes had 15 kills, 7 blocks, 13 digs, 6 aces, 15 serving points while Tess Woerner had 15 kills, 9 blocks, 10 digs, 13 points, and 26 good serve receive passes. Sam Renaldi had 10 kills, 10 digs, and 2 blocks.  Lindsey Burton showed a more aggressive side today 5 kills and 9 blocks.  Ali Elwart 48 assists, 24 digs and 18 serving points.  Karlee Szczesniak had 26 assists, 25 digs, 15 serving points.  The back row specialist stats read as: Payton Blaze with 43 digs, 5 aces, 19 points, and 62 good serve receive passes, while Breece Phillips had 21 digs and 20 good serve receive passes.  Rilee Szczesniak had 26 digs, 8 aces, 30 points, and 30 good serve receive passes.

"They played tough and showed what they could all do as a team today.  When we play loud, run through the ball, and are confident we can beat anyone!" Stated Coach Loftis "The girls all stepped up when needed today at different parts of the tournament!  It was great to see we can finish teams down the stretch and do it with hard work and communication!" Clinton has a record of 20-22-4 going into their last TCC match next week then playoff games.

The Clinton Varsity's last home game is Tuesday, October 20th with JV starting at 5:00 pm and Varsity immediately following parent ceremony and senior night.  Come out and support your Redskins!  They will also start their post season play Monday, October 29th at 5:00 pm against Madison at host Summerfield.
