The Clinton Redskin JV boys basketball team came up just short in a hard fought non-league battle against Ida by a score of 63-57.  The loss dropped the team's record to 5-4 overall and 5-1 in the TCC.

Despite the loss, the Redskins had a lot of positives to build off, and will look to correct their mistakes moving forward. Makai Cruz led the Redskin charge in the first quarter by scoring all of the teams' 12 first quarter points to build a 12-10 lead.  However, the Bluestreaks would start to impose their will and take control of the game in the second quarter building a 28-24 halftime lead.  A back and forth third quarter ended as Ida nailed a 3 pointer at the buzzer to build a seven point lead.  However, there was plenty of fight in the Redskins as they would close the gap to two points on several occasions in the fourth before Ida would put the game away with a run to build a six point lead and then making their free throws.  

Three Redskins reached double figures, led by Makai Cruz who finished with 14 points.  Tommy Burt added 13 and Davey Campbell 11 points.  

The Redskins will turn their attention to Britton-Deerfield now, as the Patriots will be in town on Friday night for a 5:30 PM tip with the Varsity game to follow.
