Clinton started their opener at Manchester.  It took a time through the line-up to get the offense rolling, but the bats unleashed and the redskins never looked back.  

Payton Hernandez was the winning pitcher, throwing 3 innings, allowing 2 strikeouts, 4 hits, and 3 walks.  Libbi Fair came in relief for the final 3 innings allowing 3 hits, 3 strikeouts, and 0 walks.

Payton Hernandez led the offense going 3-5, with a double and 5 RBI.  Libbi Fair was right with her going 2-4 with a triple and solo homerun and 2 RBI.  Lily Thompson was 2-4 with a solo homerun and 2 RBI.  Jaecy Jones was 2-4 with 2 RBI.  Lead off Rilee Szczesniak was 3-5 with a stolen base.  Clinton had 0 errors defensively.

In game 2 of the double header, Clinton came out with the victory winning 12-5 in 7 innings.  Libbi Fair was the winning pitcher, throwing 6 innings, allowing 4 hits, with 6 strikeouts and no walks.  She allowed 1 run.  Lily Thompson came in for just one inning on the mound.  Clinton defense had 1 error.

The offense was led by Jaecy Jones with her first grand slam homerun, she was 3-4 with a triple as well.  Payton Hernandez went 4-5 with a double and 2 RBI.  Libbi Fair was 4-5 with a triple and 2 RBI.  Taylor Rothman was 3-4.

Clinton continues play with their first opener in league Wednesday home vs. Sand Creek.
