The Clinton offense rolled up 589 yards of total offense and scored 73 points in a 73-34 pre-district win over host Springport Friday.
The teams traded touchdowns throughout the first half until an interception by Davey Campbell swung the momentum to the side of the Redskins. The offense marched down in just two plays and scored, and added the two-point conversion to take a 36-20 lead that would grow as the game wore on.
Jack Voll led the ground attack with 157 yards and four touchdowns, while Dylan Settles added 130 yards on 11 carries, including a 43-yard touchdown run Clay Langer-Freeman added 114 yards on just 12 carries, including two scores. Christian Minard notched 97 yards on six carries, and added two touchdowns, while Noah Comar had 73 yards on just five carries and a score.
Campbell finished with two interceptions to lead the defense, while Langer-Freeman added six tackles, including two for loss. Noah DeShano, Cecil Rafferty, and Billy Baker added quarterback sacks for the defense. Collin Stapnowski and DeShano each forced fumbles.
Clinton will travel to Navarre Field in Monroe Friday to take on Monroe Saint Mary’s Catholic Central in a district championship game.
