The varsity football team traveled to Mt. Morris for a Thursday game and came away with a 50-13 victory.  On the opening drive Mt. Morris lofted a pass on 3rd down and 15 for a touchdown.  They wouldn't score again until late in the game.   Clinton scored from the ground early and often gaining over 350 yards rushing.  Clinton had 14 first downs to Mt. Morris's 4.  Bradyn Lehman was the leading rusher with 117 yard, two touchdowns, and three 2 pt. conversions.  Zak Shadley had another good night and had long runs of 60 yards for a touchdown and another one for 30.  Cole Breitenwischer also put two in the endzone for touchdown runs of 14 and from 1 yard out.  Jake Felts scored from 8 yards out and Connor Younts scored from 8 yards out as well to finish the scoring for Clinton.  The offensive line did well and finished blocks with authority.  Brandon Felts led the team with 5 pancake blocks, Jacob Gilson, Wyatt Hicks, Jake Felts, Nate Smith, and Mason Brodie all ended up with pancake block a piece as well.  On defense Jake Felts led the team with 9 tackles followed by Lehman and Max Stitt with 8 tackles apiece.  Nate Smith, Cole Breitenwischer, and Max Stitt each had two tackles for losses, while Lehman had five.   Jake Felts picked up three tackles for losses, while Wyatt Hicks grabbed one as well.  Nik Shadley, Ian Williams, and Teddy Pizio each had a pass break up.  

Offensive player of the game was Bradyn Lehman, Defensive Player of the game was Cole Breitenwischer, Special Teams Player of the game was Max Stitt, and Red Army player of the game was Ian Williams.  

This week Clinton will host Ida at home Friday, Sept. 9th at 7pm to start LCAA action.
