Clinton was back in LCAA action tonight at Ida, winning by mercy rule in both games, that ended in 6 innings. Game 1: Clinton scored early, and slowly chipped away until the 10 run mercy was met. Kendall Phillip was the winning pitcher, allowing 3 hits, with 9 strikeouts, and allowing 0 earned runs. Lola Szczesniak was 1-1 with 2 RBI, while Annabell Preston went 2-3 with an RBI. Taryn Hernandez was 1-4 with 2 RBI. Game 2: Despite Clinton allowing 2 runs in the top of the 1st, they answered back with 6 runs in the bottom of the inning. Taryn Hernandez was the winning pitcher, allowing 6 hits with 3 strikeouts. Kendall Phillip led the offense with a 3-run home-run that stretched the lead to 9-2. She finished 4-4 with a double, HR, and 5 RBI. Lola Szczesniak remained hot, going 3-4, while freshman Ashlynn Benschoter debuted in the line up finishing 2-2 with 2 RBI. Raven Aldridge got the game winning RBI in the bottom of the 6th, finishing 2-4.
