The Redwolves wrestling Red team traveled to Quincy High School to compete in their annual varsity invitational. The Redwolves Red team struggled in their first varsity tournament of the year, many got their first taste of varsity mat time. Top performers of the day were Carter Wolff, Aiden Johnson, Jayden Duplessis, and Jake Halchishak all recording wins for the Redwolves. Wolff, Duplessis, and Halchishak recorded pins on the day before losing two close matches. Keegan Keith, Shane Cook, Carson Ehnis, Drew McNatt, Hudson Miller, and Chance Maddox all battled hard and showed signs of improvement on the day, but came up short. Even though it did not translate into a lot of wins, all of the young men gained crucial varsity mat time that is imperative to their development as wrestlers. They will continue to work hard and build off the positives from this weekend to improve going forward.
